Hi, I’m Kenneth.
Data scientist. Curious human. Occasional dungeon master.
I’m currently completing an M.S. in Data Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Before moving into data science, I spent several years working with enterprise software and solving complex technical problems.
That background shows up in my projects: there’s the question I want to answer, and then there’s the work of making the data and tools reliable enough to answer it. I’m interested in both.
The questions I keep coming back to
How do places change? What shapes the way people move through them? And when we build models of those systems, how do we know the extra complexity is helping?
My current projects explore climate risk and housing, U.S. migration, and neural recommender systems. They range from public-data pipelines and interactive maps to controlled machine-learning experiments.

Away from the keyboard
- At the table: running Dungeons & Dragons, where the plan rarely survives contact with the party.
- On the trail: hiking and making room for a different kind of perspective.
- With a guitar: working through a part, one repetition at a time.
- In the kitchen: experimenting with something new—and getting a much faster result than a research project.
Different ways to spend an afternoon. Plenty of reasons to stay curious.
